Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we get asked most often. Can't find yours?

How long does an ECU repair take?

Bench diagnostics are usually done within 24 to 48h of receiving the ECU. The repair itself depends on the fault found — we'll give you an accurate timeline with your quote.

Can I send my ECU by post?

Yes. If you're not in the Paris region, you can send us your ECU by parcel. Request this through the contact form to get the shipping address and instructions.

How does key programming work if I've lost all my keys?

This involves a full reprogramming of the access system. We'll ask for ID and proof you're entitled to use the vehicle (registration document) before any work starts, as an anti-theft measure.

Can my insurance cover the cost?

Often, yes, for key-related jobs (lost, stolen, broken): car insurance, home insurance, or even certain bank cards. We provide a detailed invoice that meets insurers' requirements. See our dedicated insurance page for details.

Do you work outside the Paris region?

We travel on-site within the Île-de-France region. Outside that area, postal shipping (of the ECU or the key/electronic module) is available for most of our services.

Are your prices fixed?

Our price list is still being finalised. Every quote is tailored to your vehicle and the fault involved — contact us for a free quote within 24h.

What if my situation is urgent (locked out, car won't start)?

Contact us directly by phone or WhatsApp rather than through the form — our contact details are highlighted on the ECU and Keys pages for exactly this kind of situation.

Is removing the DPF, EGR or catalytic converter legal?

These services are strictly for off-road, non-public-highway use (competition, track, export). See our dedicated blog article for the full legal picture.
